THE QUILT OF GOLD - pictures and progress as the Rays of Hope Quilt of Gold takes shape

The Rays of Hope golden quilt is seen here after "piecing", and ready for quilting, which requires three layers and over-stitching with patterns.

Every "ray of hope" is different, and all use the unusual and beautiful fabrics donated for the project.

The richly printed fabrics, all with the theme of gold, (above and right) have been carefully selected, donated by businesses that specialise in the field.

Cutting and laying out is painstaking, but here (above and left)
you can begin to see how the quilt will look with the "rays of hope".

The quilt is raising funds for Cruse Grief Relief Appeal. You can read about the the thought that has gone into the design and colours of this quilt if you click here.
